Weighing In and Out

I know is till need to do a MHM and I will however, my weigh in yesterday wasn’t where I wanted it. I needed to be st 150. Instead I was at 152. I’m doing count down to change which helps as it gets me in the gym more often. I’m struggling with sweets really badly though.  I am going to add an ab challenge for this month to have some exertion everyday and hopefully have better foods for this month as we approach the end goal.

Pretty Good

Today was pretty good! Work was easy and I got to move some stuff around in my office (surprise Anella!!). I got some good and bad news about clients but that is neither here nor there. Noom went well and I feel a little more comfortable within my group on there. Peter and I started our chicken and broccoli adventure. I went to the gym. We saw Rampage because MoviePass. I worked on some shower and bachelorette stuff for Catherine!!  It’s been a pretty chill for the most part and I’m grateful for that! Here’s to tomorrow.

Now You Don’t

It’s day 2 of February and I’m experiencing some throat/coughing issues :( I ended up staying late at work (again, my time management has not been great) but I ate okay today and went to the gym. I think I’ve lost 5 bounds total? Maybe? Slight win.  I also did a chore and then got to watch Now You See Me with the human. This resulted in a nap during the movie and then like 30 minutes of laughter with him trying to steal my blankets and acting like it is magic.  It’s been a good week to be honest. I also got a job interview for a part time school outpatient position. We shall see!  Question of the day: The most expensive bill I paid last month was.... my credit card bill. It is becoming an issue but if I can take steps now to work on it, I can prevent it from becoming a massive problem.

Easy Does It

I have nothing prolific to share really. I made it to the gym for the third time this week which means I finally have made progress towards that goal. Now to just replicate that for next week. OH!! I made some schedule stuff for this week as well. Now to finish it tomorrow and then start living it.  We took down the Christmas decorations (finally) and went to lunch with boyfriend's parents. Pretty easy day.

Lets Talk About Sugar

Working in substance abuse rehabilitation, I know quite a few things about various drugs, chemicals, and the body. I taught a class on this stuff. One of my subjects was Sugar. Sugar is technically more addicting that cocaine in the sense that our bodies need sugar or else we wouldn't be able to process fruits and grains. When we introduce sugar into our system, our brain responds with dopamine aka the reward chemical. And thus begins everyone's relationship with Sugar. Now, even though I know all that I know about sugar DOES NOT MEAN I DON'T EAT IT. I ADORE SUGAR. It tastes fabulous and is in all the best things. One of my biggest problems is how much of my food on a day to day basis is either sugar based (candy, chocolate, dessert items in general) or processes down to some sort of sugar molecule (glucose, fructose, galactose). I'm working on lowering this but I'm addicted to sugar. Its a hard battle to win. Why do I bring all of this up? Because I realized ...

Where are you Christmas?

IN MY LIVING ROOM! I meant to put the tree up the day after every Thanksgiving but that didn't happen. So December 1st it is!  Actually I put it on my to do list as part of my scheduling app I downloaded for goal five so, so far so good. Although I didn't make it to the gym today... As far as other goals go, I think I lost a pound? Which is a step? I'm behind on the car cleaning but I have bee mostly keeping up with drawing up once a week, even if it isn't on my scheduled days. It's been a rocky start but I think we'll see improvement!  Our tree isn't the best thing and it kind of looks like a rainbow threw up on it (and its crooked and skinny) but it's ours! Now to await the chaos that is having a cat and a Christmas tree for the next 30ish days. Reesie no!

It Sucks...

to be someone who values fairness and then to have to go against that value every once and (or is it in...???) a while. My other line of work tries my fairness gene fairly often and it tried it today pretty hard. I'm working on not being that therapist that fixes everyone but that doesn't mean I'm always good at it. And because of that, I wanted to save someone so bad from their own situation, all because it didn't seem fair to me for them to have to deal with their own consequence. They got themselves there and now they needed to learn and it sucked. It sucked so much. And it will probably suck every time until I find a balance.  That being said, I went to the gym! I went to the chiropractor! I blogged! I did a chore! Progress.
